To effectively use the test plan in JOMRes, please follow these steps:
- Access the Synoptic View:
- Navigate to the Synoptic View menu within JOMRes.
- Understanding The Menu Structure:
- The menu chain is fixed, maintaining a consistent order across all menus in JOMRes.
- Utilize the pull-down options to filter and select specific menus as needed.
- Backend/Frontend: Is the menu you are testing accessed from the back end or from the front end
- User Type: When testing items in this menu, what level of user are you logged in as?
- Menu: this is the top level menu
- SubMenu: this is the menu item one level below the Top Menu
- SubSubMenu: This is the menu below Second level menu
- Status: this is the status of the test and corresponding result
- Perform Actions:
- In the Synoptic View, select Actions/Results.
- You will have two options:
- Click on Edit to modify an existing entry.
- Click on New Issue Entry for THIS Menu Chain to create a new entry related to the current menu chain.
- Status Descriptions:
- In the Status menu there are various items indicating the current status of a test and its result.
- ToTest: This is an Item that needs to be tested
- ReTest: This is an item that has been corrected and need to be retested ro confirm fix
- Testing: This is an item that is currently being tested
- Solve Item: This is an item that has an anomolie and must be evaluated and corrected by Development
- Test OK: This indicates that the item has been tested to be properly functional
- Closed: This indicates the Item test has been closed by administration
- Archive: This is to archive this test result for future comparison
- In the Status menu there are various items indicating the current status of a test and its result.
This procedure will allow you to manage issues effectively within the context of the selected menu chain in JOMRes.
